Possible Causes or Risk factors of keratitis include:
- Poor contact lens hygiene or wearing contact lenses too long
- Getting a foreign body in the eye.
- Exposure to ultra-violet rays.
- Congenital or acquired syphilis or tuberculosis
- If any object scratches or injures the surface of your cornea.
