How to take homeopathic medicines?
Basic guidelines.
If you are new to homeopathy, this short article is going to help you!
Number 1 – Round lactose pills or sucrose granules.
Take 4 – 5 pills directly in your mouth without water and let them melt over or under your tongue.
Don’t swallow, bite or crush – simply eat just like a candy!
To very young babies or infants under the age of one or elderly or individuals who are unconscious or in coma etc., – simply crush the pills, dilute in a spoonful water and administer!
Please note homeopathy is equally very effective safe for all age groups for their long-term wellness.
Number two – Dilutions or potency drops – Take suggested number of drops – usually 2 or 3 drops of a single remedy or according to your conditions and potency of the medicine, mentioned on the label, preferably in a spoonful water.
Leave them in your mouth for a few seconds and then drink.
Number three – Mother Tinctures or Q potency
Dilute approximately 10 – 15 drops in about half cup of water and drink sip by sip!
Or as suggested by your homeopath.
Homeopathic medicines – few basic and general guidelines
- Always try to take “pills” as your main mode of taking a homeopathic medicine and avoid taking drops directly on the tongue.
- Repeat frequency of your medicine as suggested on the label, or recommended by your doctor for the desired results.
- Don’t eat or brush your teeth for about 30 minutes before and after the remedy.
- Avoid eating strong smelling foods such as garlic, ginger, mint, menthol, camphor etc., few hours before or after taking your medicines.
- AVOID coffer during your course of treatment, if possible!
- or rinse or swish your mouth with water, before taking your remedy if you have had any of the above foods!
- Follow almost same protocol for your children – except infants under the age of one as their pills are very tiny i.e., poppy seeds size and given in a pinch-ful amount!
- Store your medicine in a dry, cool, dark place out of reach of children.
