Molluscum contagiosum also known as water wart, is a common skin infection caused by a virus that can cause raised, round, skin-coloured bumps with a dent or dot at the top.
It can affect children (face, trunk, arms or legs) as well as adults (genitals, lower abdomen or inner thighs) — particularly those with weakened immune systems.

- Small, raised, firm, pink, flesh-coloured, or white bumps
- Itchy or sore bumps
- Painless bumps ranging in size from a pinhead to a pencil eraser.
- The bumps appear single or as groups.
